JBL, a sub-brand of Harman, has officially released the JBL Spinner BT turntable. Unveiled in January, this turntable introduces Bluetooth connectivity and aptX HD support, aiming to offer users a cable-free vinyl listening experience without compromising on audio quality.

One of the main features of the Spinner BT is its Bluetooth 5.2 technology, which facilitates wireless playback to compatible devices such as portable speakers, soundbars, and headphones. This feature addresses the dilemma faced by music enthusiasts who wish to indulge in the vinyl revival while enjoying the convenience of cable-free listening throughout their living spaces.

The JBL Spinner BT is equipped with aptX HD decoding capabilities, allowing for the transmission of 24-bit audio to compatible wireless audio gear. This ensures that users can savor the rich, authentic sound of vinyl without any loss in quality, maintaining the integrity of the analog listening experience.

The turntable includes its phono pre-amp, eliminating the need for a dedicated box or worrying about whether a hi-fi amp has one. The belt-drive motor operates at 33 rpm for albums and 45 rpm for EPs or singles, with an optical sensor monitoring these speeds for reliable playback. The turntable features a straight aluminum tonearm that concludes with an Audio Technica AT3600L moving magnet cartridge, adding a touch of audiophile-grade quality to the setup.

The design of the Spinner BT reflects a thoughtful combination of aesthetics and functionality. The black MDF plinth sits on damped feet, providing stability and minimizing vibrations. The turntable ships with a dust cover, offering protection while maintaining the sleek appearance of the device.
