TEAC is adding a new piece to its Reference 500 Series with the AP-507, a stereo power amplifier that brings serious power in a sleek, compact design. Featuring a custom-tuned NCOREx power module, this amplifier is built for music lovers who want high-quality sound without taking up too much space.
The AP-507 will be available in spring 2025 in black and silver, priced at $2,199 in the U.S., €1,899 in Europe, and £1,899 in the UK.
At the core of the AP-507 is TEAC’s own NCOREx power amplifier module, a refined version of Hypex’s well-known NCORE technology. TEAC has fine-tuned this module to fit its signature sound profile and paired it with an in-house designed dual-mono buffer amplifier. The result? An amp designed to deliver clean, detailed, and distortion-free audio, making it a solid choice for stereo setups, bi-amping configurations, or even as a monoblock amplifier.
With a fully balanced circuit design, the AP-507 is engineered to keep interference and noise at bay while maintaining consistent performance.
The AP-507 isn’t just about power—it’s about adaptability. TEAC has designed it with three different operating modes to fit different listening setups:
Whether you’re looking to drive a traditional two-channel system or integrate it into a multi-speaker home theater, the AP-507 offers the flexibility to handle a variety of speaker setups.
Despite its compact size, TEAC has built the AP-507 with premium materials to enhance durability and minimize vibrations. The chassis is made of aluminum and steel, and the 2.8mm semi-floating aluminum top panel is designed to reduce unwanted resonance.
Another standout feature is TEAC’s Stress-Less Isolation Foot system, a three-point support structure that helps create a stable foundation for better sound clarity.
The amplifier also operates completely silent thanks to a fanless cooling design, making it ideal for quiet listening environments. And for those who enjoy some visual feedback, dual VU meters with adjustable brightness and sensitivity provide a classic touch to the modern design.
TEAC has made sure the AP-507 is easy to integrate into different audio setups by including both XLR and RCA inputs. It also comes with large, screw-type speaker binding posts for secure speaker connections and a trigger input/through option to sync power with other components in a system.
For energy-conscious users, the AP-507 features an auto power-saving function, which can help reduce electricity consumption when not in use.
