The Sony X85J is a great TV for gaming but can also be used to watch sports because the screen can deliver great contrast and brightness. However, it’s not ideal for viewing in a bright room because it doesn’t do a great job dealing with direct reflections on the screen. This can be a problem when watching sports during the day.

You can even use this TV for watching movies, although it’s better equipped for sports and video games. This is because of the amazing contrast and black uniformity that makes movies come to life. Unfortunately, it’s not suited for movies because it doesn’t have a local dimming feature.

The low input lag and fast response time make it a better choice for playing games, however. It’s even future-proof because it has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, so you can play the latest consoles on this TV with no issues.
