Beginning November 17, Philips Hue smart bulbs will lose their ‘Works with Nest’ functionality, and will no longer integrate with Nest Thermostat, Nest Cam, or Nest Protect. However, this change serves as a transition, given that the same features will soon be available in the Google Home app by way of the new ‘Works with Hey Google’ platform. There's no definitive word on how long the transition will take, but Philips says for now that "[i]f your Philips Hue light bulbs are connected to Google Assistant, you can continue to use your Nest smart speakers and displays to control your lights."
