Philips has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 TV range at a dedicated event in Barcelona, introducing a series of OLED and LED options that promise to deliver exceptional picture quality and innovative features. The Philips 2024 TV lineup includes the flagship OLED+959, the OLED+909, and the OLED809, as well as mini-LED models and an affordable LED option known as 'The One.'

At the pinnacle of the Philips 2024 TV range sits the OLED+959, which boasts cutting-edge technology and a sleek design. This flagship model features a 65-inch OLED panel equipped with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, combined with Philips' META 2.0 Multi Booster algorithm. This dynamic duo claims to achieve an astounding peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, making it one of the brightest OLED TVs on the market.

Driving the OLED+959 is the new 8th Gen P5 AI Dual Engine processor, offering enhanced picture quality across various aspects, including color, sharpness, motion, contrast, and source detection. The TV also introduces Ambilight Plus, a revamped ambient lighting system that can project up to four different halos at varying depths, adding a new dimension to the viewing experience.

OLED+959 is the flaghisp model of the Philips 2024 TV range.

Gamers will appreciate the support for 144Hz refresh rates with variable refresh rates (VRR), Dolby Vision gaming compatibility, and reduced input lag from 200ms to just 40ms when using the MEMC feature. Furthermore, the OLED+959 is equipped with a premium 5.1.2-channel, 102W sound system developed in collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins, ensuring an immersive audio experience.

The OLED+909 offers many of the same features as its flagship sibling, including the impressive 3000-nit brightness, gaming capabilities, and Bowers & Wilkins audio, but with a 3.1-channel sound system and a more minimalist design. Available in 55, 65, and 77-inch sizes, this model provides a high-quality viewing experience in a slightly more compact package.

Philips 2024 TV range also introduces the OLED809 as a mid-range OLED TV. Although it lacks the MLA technology found in the flagship models, it still achieves an impressive 1300-nit peak brightness. This mid-range offering leverages the 8th Gen P5 AI processor to enhance picture quality, making it a worthy contender in its segment.

Gaming enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as the OLED809 supports 144Hz refresh rates and comes equipped with a three-sided Ambilight system for added immersion.

The sound system on the OLED809 is developed in-house by Philips, offering a 2.1-channel configuration with up to 70W of power. It will be available in sizes ranging from 42 to 77 inches and is scheduled for release in May 2024.

Philips 2024 TV - The Philips PML9009 Xtra series will feature Mini LED lighting and 144Hz gaming support.

The PML9009, aptly named 'The Xtra,' enters the scene with mini-LED technology. While it may not reach the same peak brightness as some competitors, it still offers a respectable 1000 nits, making it an intriguing option for those seeking a balance between performance and affordability. Gamers will find solace in its 144Hz support, and the TV adopts the new Titan Smart TV platform.

For those looking for an affordable yet capable LED TV, Philips offers the PUS8909, also known as 'The One.' Available in various sizes ranging from 43 to 75 inches, this model offers three-sided Ambilight and supports 144Hz gaming. Although it may not match the OLEDs in terms of picture quality, it aims to provide an enticing value proposition for budget-conscious consumers.

While Philips has not officially confirmed pricing and release dates, the Philips 2024 TV range promises to raise the bar in terms of picture quality, gaming features, and innovation.

The OLED+959's remarkable 3000-nit brightness and Ambilight Plus technology, along with the OLED809's impressive brightness for a mid-range TV, are bound to make waves in the TV market. As the year progresses, consumers can anticipate a wider range of options to cater to their viewing needs and budgets.

The OLED+959 is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2024, with the OLED+909 arriving in June. The OLED809 and PML9009's availability and pricing details are yet to be confirmed.
