For starters, it has 12 high-powered outlets located around back, each one color coordinated for easy connection. The HTPS 7000 MKII features Monster's Clean Power Stage 5 technology, which helps isolate your components from harsh AC while reducing line noise and distortion.

The HTPS will also eliminate ground noise loop that can arise from improperly grounded products. Monster claims that detail, clarity, frequency response and picture will benefit as well as give you peace of mind that your valuable components are secure from the dangers of faulty power.

High Points
• Monster's claims of richer, fuller and cleaner sound with the HTPS 7000 MKII in your system are largely true, although don't expect a night and day difference.
• The HTPS 7000 MKII's 12 outlets prove handy when presented with a large, complex system.
• The front meter isn't as obnoxious as its bigger brother and, like the one on the AVS 2000, the HTPS 7000 MKII's meter is dimmable and/or defeatable.
• Build quality and reliability are solid and the HTPS 7000 MKII has been hiccup-free after years of use.

Low Points
• Like many Monster Power products (cables, too), there are many competitors that do all if not more and cost a lot less.
• If you're looking for a subtler piece of kit, the HTPS 7000 MKII or any Monster product may not be your cup of tea.

Conclusion
Retailing at just pennies under $1,300, the HTPS 7000 MKII does a lot of things right. It maybe the best all-round power conditioner Monster makes. However, it has steep competition from other companies' products, many of which cost less and are less ostentatious. This said, I cannot slight the HTPS 7000 MKII's reliability and ease of use. The HTPS 7000 MKII's 12 outlets proved enough for my large system and the performance benefits were audible and/or noticeable. I recommend checking out the HTPS 7000 MKII before looking upward in the Monster Power line, because I consider it a better value than other Monster Power products.
