LG has not one, but two new UST projectors, and these are top-of-the-line flagship models. The company's HU915QE ($5999.99) is designed to maximize brightness while the almost identical sibling LG's HU915QB ($6499.99) it's not quite as bright at its peak, but is optimized for home theater applications and is able to achieve remarkable accuracy.
I have recently reviewed the HU915QB for Projector Central and can attest to its capabilities and sophistication. Of the two, it is (in my opinion) the more exciting projector because it supports calibration with a 3D LUT. That allows it to achieve a quite remarkable degree of accuracy to go with its wide color gamut, high contrast, and still achieves impressive brightness.
The HU915QE and HU915QB models deliver high-quality movies and streaming content thanks to HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping. This technique analyzes and then adjusts image brightness frame-by-frame, for optimal contrast regardless of scene type.
LG's Brightness Optimizer II enhances the new CineBeam projector's performance by automatically adjusting brightness levels to a room's ambient light conditions, for a vivid image that impresses. The Adaptive Contrast feature changes the projector's light sources to add additional clarity to scenes.
The new CineBeam versions come with LG's webOS smart platform so customers can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and Apple TV.
Screen Mirroring, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth also provide wireless streaming.
An the audio side, an integrated 2.2 Channel, 40W speaker system is said to deliver robust sound, and you can add Bluetooth speakers for surrounds.
