Samsung just announced that TV fans will soon be able to enjoy immediate access to more than 1,400 titles of HBO programming, including every episode of every season of HBO's shows, via an upcoming HBO GO app to be offered via Samsung Apps later this year. The app, which can be installed onto a Samsung Smart TV or Smart Blu-ray player, will be available at no extra charge to HBO subscribers in the U.S., who authenticate through their current, participating television provider.

HBO GO allows current HBO subscribers to instantly watch every episode of classics like The Sopranos and Sex and the City and award-winning series like Boardwalk Empire and True Blood from the very beginning. Subscribers also have access to HBO Documentary Films, HBO Sports and a wide selection of theatrical films. In addition, the service will include bonus materials, soundtrack and cast information.
HBO GO can be accessed by HBO subscribers from any U.S. location with a broadband connection. Subscribers can also personalize HBO GO using the "Series Pass" feature, which automatically alerts viewers to new episodes of preferred programs when they arrive on the service. When browsing, subscribers can also bookmark content for later viewing by adding it to their "Watchlist" or restrict content with easy to use parental controls.
The HBO Go will be available on most 2010 and 2011 models.
