Snap One has announced the worldwide availability of its latest handheld remote control, the Control4 Halo Touch. This remote is designed to offer users easy and reliable management of their Control4 system through a customizable 3.2-inch color touchscreen, equipped with a new graphical interface, backlit buttons, push-to-talk voice control, and dual-band WiFi support.
The Control4 Halo Touch empowers users to make immediate changes to their Control4 system, especially when it comes to managing TVs or music. The handheld remote provides one-touch access to volume and content controls, ensuring effortless control at the user's fingertips.
Eric Fritz, the Director of Product Management at Control, emphasized that the Halo Touch delivers a premium experience with the latest control methods, including voice commands and a user-friendly touchscreen.
“When Control4 users want something changed immediately, especially relating to TVs or music, their best option is often a handheld remote that has always-on performance and offers one-touch access to volume and content controls,” says Eric Fritz.
“With the Halo Touch, users are treated to a premium experience that offers all the latest control methods including voice commands and a bright, easy-to-use touchscreen.”
One of the main features of the Control4 Halo Touch lies in its construction, as it is crafted from machined aluminum. This not only ensures long-lasting performance but also adds an extra layer of durability, making it a reliable companion for daily use.
The new Control4 handheld remote addresses the requirements for modern capabilities by integrating voice control with popular services like Apple TV and Xfinity. Additionally, it offers enhanced lighting control and full color customization.
“Featuring in-demand capabilities such as voice integration with leading services like Apple TV and Xfinity, and improved lighting control including full colour customization, these remotes enhance user satisfaction and provide Partners with a valuable upsell opportunity for both existing and new projects", Fritz continued.
Snap One collaborated with partners to design the Control4 Halo remotes, adding new features and upgraded technologies while maintaining the sleek aesthetics of the highly coveted Neeo Remote. The backlit buttons for transport controls, user interface functions, and the machined aluminum DPad improve the overall usability of the remote, providing effortless navigation and control.
Accessing media content, comfort controls, lighting scenes, and other experiences should be effortless through the Halo Touch's access to OS3 favorites. The remote's intelligence enables simple media browsing and comprehensive control of devices, scenes, and automations for AV, lighting, and other programming needs.
To improve reliability, the Halo Touch is equipped with an upgraded dual-band WiFi antenna, supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. This enhancement should result in up to five times stronger connections compared to previous remote models.
One of the most exciting features of the Control4 Halo Touch is its Voice button, which enables voice control functionality. When users press this button, Control4 captures their commands through the embedded microphone and routes them to the appropriate voice service, thanks to a proprietary new technology.
“Special features like the ability to act as an Apple TV Siri Remote provide a powerful pitch for users that want ultimate simplicity in a single remote without sacrificing access or convenience,” Fritz adds. “What’s more, we designed Halo remote hardware to support future upgrades, so the remotes will get even more powerful and valuable over time as we integrate new features.”
The Halo family of remotes also grants users access to their custom-created favorites and other essential smart home capabilities, including automation and personalized scenes. With the release of the Control4 Halo Touch, Snap One expands the Halo line, following the successful launch of the original Halo remote in January.
