In response to the growing demand for sleek, black-finished audio equipment, Cambridge Audio, a renowned name in the world of high-end audio, has unveiled Black Editions of two of its popular components, the MXN10 Network streamer, and the DacMagic 200M DAC. The announcement took place at the 2023 Shanghai International Top Audio-Visual Show, which runs from October 13 to October 15.
This new development follows the success of the CX Series Black Edition product line from Cambridge Audio, which garnered significant attention for its exquisite black aesthetics. These Black Editions aim to cater to the preferences of younger music enthusiasts who appreciate the allure of a minimalist, black design.
Stuart George, CEO of Cambridge Audio, expressed his enthusiasm for introducing these Black Editions, stating, “The black-on-black style is a perfect match for the timeless minimalist design of MXN10 and DacMagic 200M. We had overwhelming demand for the CX Series Black Edition, and I’m delighted to introduce more to the Cambridge family.”
The MXN10 is a network audio streamer equipped with the Cambridge Audio StreamMagic streaming platform. This platform facilitates access to a diverse array of music services, internet radio, and more.
Notable features of the MXN10 include a DAC powered by the ESS Sabre ES9033Q, supporting a frequency response of 20Hz – 70kHz +0/-1dB. The device boasts Bluetooth version 5.0, UPnP compatibility, and support for various audio formats, including ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, and DSD (x512). The MXN10 dimensions are 52 x 215 x 191mm, and it weighs 1.2kg.
