AudioControl had added two new amplifers to its Director Series. The 16-channel D4600 ($4,950) and eight-channel D2800 ($2,480) are both rated at 100 watts into eight ohms, and they incorporate Digital Signal Processing with onboard digital profiles of the most popular architectural loudspeakers. You can bridge channels to get more power, and the system allows for network monitoring/programming and graphic/parametric equalization by zone. Both amps will be available this month through authorized AudioControl dealers.

Integrators can tailor the sound based on DSP profiles of leading speaker brands as part of AudioControl's Sound Partners Program, and then fine-tune these DSP profiles by individual zones based on acoustic environment. AudioControl D-Series amplifiers enable integrators to deliver eight channels of premium performance from a 1U chassis (D2800) or 16 channels from a 2U chassis (D4600) to accommodate nearly any system configuration.
AudioControl's powerful DSP engine includes graphic and parametric equalization by zone and network monitoring/programming. Both units will become available beginning January 2018 with a suggested client price of $4,950 U.S. for the D4600 and $2,480 U.S. for the D2800.
